One of the highlights of the Alton Mill is the Turbine Room that contains the original turbine, governor, power take-off shaft and belts, 1880’s vintage coal boiler and other heritage industrial equipment.

In partnership with the Peel Heritage Complex, the Turbine room has been preserved and restored as a two-storey space, serving as a demonstration area highlighting the past industrial and energy technologies of the building as well as the economic and social history of Alton.
