Thank you for joining us last June to discover the Headwaters Region's best artisanal food, drink and creativity. Local chefs, Alton Mill studio artists, and wine, beer and cider makers combined to offer one delicious weekend, where guests watched chefs in action and artists in action on June 20 – 21, 2015, noon to 5 pm each day.

Throughout the Mill's studios and art galleries there will be food & beverage tasting stations and special art activities.

The Main Stage features chef demos, live music, a daily cook-off and on Saturday, a paint-off. For the cook-offs, two duelling chefs will be presented with identical "Black Boxes" of local food ingredients out of which they will have 45 minutes to create a culinary masterpiece, vying for the coveted "This Chef is Hot" Award!

Immediately following Saturday's cook-off, a half dozen artists will be given another artfully-arranged set of the same foods, which they will interpret using paint on canvas.

Cuisine-Art is honoured to have been designated a finalist for Culinary Tourism Event of the Year at the Ontario Tourism 2014 Awards of Excellence, a Top 100 Festival for 2015 by Festivals & Events Ontario and Best Culinary Tourism Experience in 2013 by Hills of Headwaters Tourism.

Cuisine-Art is a fundraiser for the Alton Millpond Rehabilitation Fund.

Cuisine-Art Tastings Pass includes unlimited food samples and three beverage sampling tickets, plus access to the Main Stage entertainment venue. $35 at the gate. Sorry, advance tickets no longer available. (Additional drink sampling tickets can be purchased on site for $2.50 each or 5 for $10). A cash bar and cash BBQ menu will be available all weekend. Shaw's Creek Cafe  : The Alton Mill's in-house eatery is now owned and operated by Owen & Amanda Vulpe, who continue the cafe's tradition of light lunches and decadent desserts. 

Soulyve Caribbean Kitchen  : As featured on "You Gotta Eat Here" on the Food Network, Soulyve serves up hot and spicy authentic Caribbean Cuisine. An Orangeville favourite, Soulyve is fast becoming a hot spot in the Ontario restaurant scene.  

Lavender Blue Catering : Featuring fresh and frozen gourmet foods, Lavender Blue Catering features entrees, soups and desserts for any occasion. 

The Millcroft Inn & Spa

Black Wolf Smoke House: The Blackwolf smokehouse is an authentic southern styled smokehouse. Using the tried and tested Hot Smoking method. The prolonged smoking process yields a complex flavor development, but it also requires careful work to do correctly.

Landman Gardens & Bakery:

The Mill Run Eatery: At the Mill Run Eatery, food entheusiasts will find everything they need. From delicious daily breakfasts, gourmet lunches and specialty coffees in our cafe. Using a farm to table approach Chef Pam Fanjoy sources only the best ingredients for their ever changing menu. 

The Edge Wine Bar and Grille: Located inside the Headwaters Raquet Club in Orangeville West The Edge Wine Bar and Grille is where great food and music meet.

Fromage Cheese Shop: Local food connoisseurs who’ve been leaving town to satisfy their taste for the finer things needn’t look any futher than downtown Orangeville. Serving a variety of gourmet foods from area growers and producers, like breads, gluten-free meals, honey and soups created using cheese sold in the store. Fromage carries up to 60 different types of cheese from across Canada and around the world.

Mayfield Secondary School Culinary Club: Students of the Mayfiled Culinary Club are united by their love of cuisine.

Takin’ it to the Plate: Simple Ways to Eat With Your Eyes, with Chef Owen Vulpe. Learn tips and tricks for how to make what you serve a delicious treat both for the eyes and the taste buds.

Kombucha: What? When? How? And Why?, with Live Kombucha’s Lorman Ip: Lorman will offer a brief history of kombucha; what it is; and why we do it, with an emphasis on why people are so passionate about this beverage once they hop on board, as well as why people get so excited over Live Kombucha as a whole.

Millpond Walking Tours Let owner Jeremy Grant talk you on a tour of the beautiful Alton Mill Arts Centre. Learn about its history as a textile mill and latex factory, its architectural features, and the important environmental work being planned to rehabilitate the Mill pond.

A Year in the Life of a Honey Bee, with beekeepers Gillian and Jim Vanderburgh. GillieBee and JimmyBee honey have different flavours and aromas distinctive to the flowers and blossoms in each location. Our artisanal honey is hand extracted in small batches, slow filtered without heat. We hand package the honey in appealing containers for our customers and families.
