Let your creativity soar! Join Mill artist CJ Shelton as she gently guides you in designing your own completely unique circular “mandala” painting from scratch on a 12″x12″ canvas. If you enjoy doodling or colouring you will love taking it to the next level.

 

First you will tone and “prime” your canvas with acrylic washes and learn some fun techniques for applying paint. While your canvas is drying you will explore what kind of design you want to create using various prompts and ideas provided by CJ. Then its time to dive in with markers, inks and other mixed media materials and see what magic unfolds!

 

This is not just colouring or copying a design from a book but an enjoyable and calming day of learning, self-discovery and companionship that lets your personal creativity and expression shine brightly. No art experience is necessary and all art materials are supplied.

 

This workshop is designed to give you plenty of “me time” and let you produce a finished art piece of your own that is ready to hang. No previous art experience is necessary. Class size is limited to only 4-6 people so you will get lots of attention.

 

Tea and light refreshments are provided. The cost of lunch is extra so please bring your own or purchase at the Cafe on the lower level of the Alton Mill.
