The Falls Gallery's show, "A Retrospective", features the work of extremely talented artist, Dorothy Milne-Eplett. Dorothy is an accomplished painter with several awards and acknowledgements from across Canada, including the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. Her show runs from July 27 - August 21

Born in 1927, this is Dorothy Milne-Eplett’s seventh major show. Numerous prestigious awards affirm the creative genius of this. Lifetime member of the Willowdale Group of Artists, long-time member of the Barrie Art Club, 15-year convenor of the Aurora Art Show, Owner/Teacher of the D. Milne-Eplett Studio, Aurora, Ontario, illustrator, photographer, award winning and celebrated En Plein Air painter. We are certain you will enjoy this ‘Retrospective Showing’.

Dorothys’ signature piece, ‘Nottawasaga Maple’ a 4x6’ oil depicting her life as contemplated in the Canadian forest, recently hung in the Barrie City Hall Atrium and was returned to her studio at the family’s request. This show is a celebration of Dorothy’s artistic life from a child of fourteen to the resplendent age of eighty-eight years.

Dorothy’s’ Canadian landscapes hang in private collections throughout Canada, South America, Europe, New Zealand, Portugal Acores, Indonesia and Bermuda. Mediums included in this showing are oil, watercolour, acrylic and photography. Demonstrating remarkable brush control and attention to fine detail this full range of evocative canvases will entice your senses.
