Pond Gallery | abstract acrylic workshop with Lydia panart

This in-person, one-day workshop offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of abstract painting. Professional artist Lydia Panart will guide participants through the creative process, from developing a conceptual idea to completing a finished abstract artwork. Emphasis will be place in composition, colour layering, and painting techniques.

Through visual presentations and supporting materials, Lydia will lead participants in exploring abstract artworks, analyzing how the elements and principles of design contribute to successful compositions. Following this visual exploration, participants will respond to a series of creative prompts designed to inspire their own concepts. Working from either a chosen theme or a preliminary sketch, each participant will develop an abstract painting with intention, thoughtfully selecting a colour palette and painting techniques that reinforce their artistic vision.

Throughout the day, Lydia will provide live painting demonstrations, individualized feedback, and facilitated group discussions, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that enriches each participant’s creative experience.
