The Alton Millpond ice rink is open to the public when the ice conditions are safe.

THE RINK IS NOW CLOSED.

Other than during the Alton Millpond Hockey Classic and Fire and Ice Festival weekend (Jan 20 & 21, 2018), we do not maintain the ice in terms of flooding and detailed shovelling. Shovels are on hand, and we ask you to respect the Canadian tradition of outdoor rinks by kindly clearing the ice when you come to use it.

Use of the rink is completely AT YOUR OWN RISK. When ice conditions are not safe, please heed our  "rink closed" sign. Caution and common sense need to prevail at all times.

If you do come to skate, have fun, be careful, and please consider patronizing the Alton Mill! The Gourmandissimo Cafe at the Alton Mill sells delicious light fare (soups, salads, sandwiches, baked treats) as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cold beverages. Of course, the art studios and galleries in the building are also nice to visit!
