Driving Directions

Our address is 1402 Queen St. West, Alton, ON, L7K 0C3 . Use the Google map above to plot the most direct route to the Alton Mill Arts Centre from your location. 

Hours of Operation

The main floor galleries, shops, café and heritage exhibit are all open, along with some studios Wednesday through Sunday and Holiday Mondays, 10 am to 5pm.

Studio hours vary . If you are making a special trip to visit a particular studio (or to visit anyone on a normal Monday or a Tuesday), best to make an appointment in advance. Contact information for each artist is available in the Directory .  All studios are open on our special event weekends.

Scenic Routes

For a more scenic route to Alton from the south, we suggest you take Highway #10 north from Brampton. Turn left on Forks of the Credit Road, and wind your way up Caledon Mountain to just before the picturesque village of Belfountain. Turn right (north) onto Mississauga Road and wind your way past the Caledon Ski Club. Turn right onto Cataract Road and continue past the Trans Canada Trail entrance for the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park to the traffic light at Charleston Sideroad. Cross Charleston, at which point Cataract Road changes its name to Main Street, and continue past the Osprey Valley Golf Course to Alton. Turn left at the stop sign onto Queen Street. Continue for one block, then right onto Amelia Street where you will see the Alton Mill driveway on the left.
