At long last and after several years of work, the Master Plan for the Alton Millpond's rehabilitation is complete.

Come out to see and learn about this exciting plan to reestablish the millpond as an ecological, educational, and recreational hub for the village of Alton.

Project consultants and committee members will be present to share the newly-developed master plan with the public.

The Master Plan is the result of several years of committee work, fundraising, studies and hard work by a team of professional consultants to develop a plan for how to rehabilitate this important feature in the village of Alton.

There is still much more work to be done, but the Master Plan is a big step forward towards realizing a vision incorporating ecological stewardship, enhancement of the Shaw’s Creek watershed, recreation and environmental education, public art and development of a long term approach for the ownership, maintenance and management of the millpond and related structures.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING THE RESULTS OF THIS EXCITING PROJECT ON SEPTEMBER 10TH6:30 to 7 PM: Complimentary BBQ (hot dogs, hamburgers, beverages) 7 PM to 8:30 PM: PRESENTATIONS, Q&A, DISCUSSION
