An evening of storytelling on the theme of travel

Once upon a time. Who doesn’t love a good story?

Scary, awe-inspiring, hilarious, bizarre; everyone has a travel story to tell. Join us at the Alton Mill Arts Centre on Thursday, July 30th, from 7-9 pm, as we celebrate the art of storytelling with an evening devoted to tales from the road.

With special guest author and journalist NICOLA ROSS (Caledon Hikes: Loops and Lattes) joining a bus-full of storytellers (Kat Selby, Bob and Caroline Menzies, Maria Coletta Maclean, Barb Stasiw, Mary Little, singer/songwriter Jon Farmer and more) sharing their harrowing, thrilling, and life-changing travel experiences. Whether it’s about trekking the incredible Camino, getting attacked by sharks in Hawaii, or being robbed in the old Yugoslavia, there’s a story for everyone.

Nibbles by Shaw’s Creek Café.

Only $5 at the door for an unforgettable evening of tales that span the ridiculous and the sublime.

NOTE: If you’ve got a travel story to tell and can share it in 3-5 minutes, contact harry@altonmill.ca to get a spot on the roster. Be a part of Culture Café!
