The Noodle Gallery features Laura Newton, January 9 - February 17, 2019.

Laura is a self-taught, intuitive abstract artist with a unique, delicate style that has developed organically over the last 12 years. She creates soft, luscious abstract pieces that possess an ethereal quality; a lightness. Drawn to paint with her fingers, and without the use of brushes, Laura surrenders to each piece by releasing expectation and fully immersing herself in the nourishing process of her self-expression. She feels strongly that our hands are a direct extension of our hearts and therefore the emotion she feels while painting is directly projected onto the canvas and profoundly felt by the viewer. Her process is quiet and intimate, yet electric; there is an immense energy that flows with such ease while she works. Laura’s paintings are ever evolving; daily experiences, interactions and emotions lead the way for the path her work will take.
