Come to The Hive and try your hand at encaustic painting! Encaustics is the process of using heat to fuse together layers of oil tinted, natural beeswax. As the layers are built up, objects can be embedded in the wax, while tools are used to scrape, gouge, and make marks, adding texture and imagery to your work.
Drop into The Hive anytime between 11am-4pm for instructions and a demo followed by 30 mins of play (about and hour start to finish) for $25. No artistic experience is necessary.
